Migrant Action Trust (MAT) is a registered charity aiming to assist migrants and former refugees from assimilation to integration. All donations to MAT of $5 or more are tax deductible in New Zealand. This means that you can claim a third of your donation back from the IRD at the end of the financial year.

Make sure you keep hold of all your tax receipts , and complete the tax rebate form (IR526) after 31 March. The form is available to download from the IRD’s website
